Ito Kaoru is a ceramist born in 1949 and who signs his works with the Bunzan seal. He is located in 'Echizen', Fukui prefecture, on the island of Honshu (Echizen region). The clay used is a mixture of clay from the famous Echizen and Shigaraki clay, creating unique pastes of its own formulation and production. These are light grayish pastes with very small, dark degreasers. She does not use molds, all her pots are created by hand and the glazes are truly original, colorful and attractive. In recent years, most of the pots that bear his seal are from his students.
