Yoshimura Kataoka is the first generation of the Yoshimura Toen kiln, known as Shuuhou, dedicated to bonsai ceramics. His real name is Kataoka Shin) was born in 1941 and has the “Title” of “Master” of ceramics in Tokoname, although he does not appear on the mythical list of master bonsai ceramics craftsmen issued by the local government of Tokoname. Father of Yoshimura Shuuhoy and grandfather of Hidemi Kataoka.
