Hanno Souhei, born in 1940, worked as a ceramics researcher in various studios. Specifically, starting in 1961 and for 1 year, he studied raw materials and glazes in the experimental engineering laboratory of the Nagoya National Research Institute. These studies will have a significant impact on the way you will produce ceramics for years to come. In 1977, wholesale manufacturing begins. "Senkouen" becomes the label for sales, and Hanno Soushei remains the company's technical leader based in Tokoname.
