When pruning a branch, especially if it is quite large, it is advisable to use sealing and healing pastes, as they prevent fungal and bacterial infections and at the same time allow you to keep the cut moist for longer, thus helping the wound to heal much faster.

Most of them are Japanese, characterised by their discretion, as aesthetically we want them to be as inconspicuous as possible. You can find them of the "plasticine" type, very easy to remove once the healing callus has been created, or more liquid ones, such as Top Jin or grafting, which create a thin elastic layer over the edges of the wound.
